ABOUT US
Turtle Studios is a Toronto based film production studio founded in 2011 by Canadian filmmaker Rob Tari.
Turtle Studios strives to make unique films featuring unforgettable characters, exciting stories and state of the art technology. Turtle Studios has won acclaim from both viewers and critics when it burst onto the film scene with it's debut movie
"Soul Mates." The film took home the award for "Most Popular Film Screened" at the 2013 Vaughan Multimedia Film Festival.
2015 saw the release of the studio's most ambitious feature to date, "Us." Blending both live-action and animation, Us made it's World Premiere at the 2015 Toronto Independent Film Festival, where it played to a sold out audience. It went on to be featured in both the 2015 Windsor International Film Festival and 2015 Los Angeles Cinefest, respectfully.
Turtle Studios' new film, "A Man Named Death" made it's debut at the 2023 Toronto Independent Film Festival, where it won the Audience award for "Best Short Film." It was also awarded the "Merit Award" by the 2023 Canada Shorts Film Festival.
In 2024, the film travelled internationally with official selections in the Tokyo International Film Festival, Beyond Hollywood International Film Festival and New York CineFest where it was also nominated for Best Comedy Short.
